1) Sunbathing

This is very much common practice. In this technique you just expose your skin directly to the sun. Wear as little cloth as you can otherwise prefer white cotton cloth that can let the sun in. Expose your front and back at least for 5 minutes to the sun. You can utilise those time reading books, doing yoga, massaging your body or just enjoying the nature. When you start to sweat, it means your sunbathing session is over.


2) Sun gazing

This is an ancient yogic technique in which you greet the rising Sun with feeling of gratitude. This is also called Trataka with sun. Here, you stare at the rising Sun when it is red or orange and still touching the horizon. Don't worry this won't damage your eyesight but to be in safer side stop it if your eyes start hurting. This is believed to nourish our brain and increase eyesight.

3) Having Sun charged water

This is another ancient technique which is not just simple but inexpensive too.
Just take maximum of 3 liters of normal water in a glass jar and put it under the sun in the morning. Leave it there for 6 to 8 hours. Bring it back in the evening and drink it slowly.

Here, water absorbs energy of the Sun. Scientist calls Sun charged water as Living water. This helps to integrate Sun's energy within ourselves.


Sun is one of the five element from which human body is made up. Avoiding it will do more harm than good to us. One must not avoid it with the fear of tanning.
